TEAM BOARD ROLES 2020-2021

1. Officers (Board Meetings + General Meetings)

A. President

I. Initiates and calls to order general meetings, publish the agenda, and is the keeper of time as well as conversation. Sets the objectives and general plan for the year and participates in District meetings disseminating information to the club. ii. Sets the board meeting agenda and collects votes.

B. President Elect (Chief of Staff)

i. Works with directors and sub-committees to follow through on action items from meetings. Works with the Chair on the execution of the general plan and prepares changes to the general plan for their term. ii. Visits with other rotary groups in the area, building repertoire and relations.

C. Immediate Past Chair (Sergeant at Arms)

i. Ensures general meetings are engaging and all members new and returning are active and involved. A creator of traditions and the appropriate meeting environment providing holistic support and guidance to members. Advocates for the members and any challenges one or many are going through at board meetings.

C. Immediate Past Chair (Sergeant at Arms)

i. Keeps meeting minutes, track of the member meeting attendance, the online drive file structure, and event calendar updates. Organizes the online information on the website for all Directors and Officers. Alternative signatory for the organization.

E. Treasurer

i. Manages general membership dues collection, accounts receivable and accounts payable, advises on budgetary restrictions and opportunities. ii. Keeps track of service, event, and recruitment budgets as well as receipts iii. Heads up any foundation requirements of the club including Polio donations, District dues, and other initiatives.

2. Directors (Sub-committee Meetings and General Meetings)

A. Corporate Partnership

i. Ensures general meetings are engaging and all members new and returning are active and involved. A creator of traditions and the appropriate meeting environment providing holistic support and guidance to members. Advocates for the members and any challenges one or many are going through at board meetings.

B. Non-profit Partnership

i. Ambassador to Sacramento and regional non-profits. The role predominantly focuses on creating a bridge between our memberships and in identifying upcoming volunteer activities.

C. Youth Engagement

i. Ambassador to the Rotaract, Interact, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, K-12 schools, and children in need.

D. Fundraising

i. Supports our ability to donate to and initiate our own service projects. Would be responsible for designing either our own or partnering with other charities. Would engage with all other Directors in a creative and collaborative manner.

E. Service Project

i. Organizes on the ground logistics for the rotary members day of service event. Communicates with partner organization leadership and volunteers to ensure there is one voice and direction for Rotarians. Position requires prior communication with service groups.

F. Function/Social Events

i. Plans activities and works with other Directors to coordinate and promote events.

G. Volunteer/New Member Outreach

i. Works at events and online to recruit new members. Engage new attendees and manage a volunteer listserv. Also works with PR and Marketing Director to distribute recruitment materials.

H. Public Relations and Marketing

i. Anyone skilled in adobe and video editing to create documents and video clips. Takes photographs at events and works with each sub-committee to ensure co-branding with partners is tastefully executed.
